Hello, my name is Emmie.

I grew up in California but I spent most of my childhood summers in Beijing. After college, I lived in Beijing for a few years where I really got hit with the travel bug. I'm currently living in San Francisco, where I work as a product manager in a travel company (hello dream job) and try to squeeze in as many trips as possible over the weekends. 

I started writing this blog because I love to travel and to plan trips. You can usually find me exploring places with beautiful interiors, buildings with pretty facades, and amazing food (duh). Usually, my list of things to see is unrealistic but I try anyway. I feel so much joy when I maximize every hour! And as much as I love exploring new places, I am equally as happy relaxing on a beach with a good book or hiking up for a view. Every destination is unique and deserves its own attention. 

I'm sharing short weekend guides to inspire everyone to travel more. I believe the more you travel, the more open minded you become, which is important because this world needs a little bit more empathy.
